Russell Cundari, K.C., is an experienced and successful trial lawyer, specializing in civil jury trials. Mr. Cundari enjoyed the unique position of practicing as a corporate commercial solicitor for a decade before developing a practice in civil litigation. This gives him the ability to understand issues from both the commercial and litigation perspective.
In addition to his legal practice, Russell Cundari, K.C., was recognized for his contribution to the legal profession when he was appointed Queen’s Counsel by the Attorney General of British Columbia on December 15, 2006 upon a recommendation of a committee composed of among others, the Chief Justices of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, and Provincial Court of British Columbia. With the change in the monarchy, the designation became King’s Counsel, or K.C.
Russell Cundari, K.C., believes in being involved in the local community to improve the lives of all citizens. In 2002 he was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in recognition of his community work. For over ten years, Mr. Cundari founded and chaired the organization now known as Venture Kamloops, which is the economic development arm of the City of Kamloops. He served as a director on the board of the 1993 Canada Summer Games, has been a past director of the Chamber of Commerce, past director and vice chairman of Royal Inland Hospital Board of Directors, chairman of the Building Fundraising Committee for the construction of the Art Gallery and headed up the “Friends of the Airport” group to assist in securing federal funding for the expansion of the Kamloops airport. Cundari has also served on the TRU Law School advisory committee. Russell Cundari continues to be active in charitable activities, politics, and promoting responsible economic development.
